hey guys, about muscle milk in a tub.. people told me its bad to take muscle milk post workout bcus its so slow digesting, is that only when u mix it with milk, what if you mix it with water, wont it be fast digesting then?> bcus ive been on ON gold standard for about 3 months, its awesome but just thought id give my body something different. so yea, is it the powder's indgredients that are the slow digesting factor or the milk? THANK YOU BROS

The factors for the slow digestion in milk is three fold.

First casein protein is slow digesting, fat slows down digesting and even the sugar that milk has digests slower than regular ones.

Check the fat content in muscle milk, for a protein I think its not "clean" enough. I prefer something with low protein and carb content so that I can have more control.

Slow digesting because of the fat content. Don't use postworkout.

The only thing thats different between protein supplements is really the quality of the protein, the source of the protein and the amino acid profile. ON is right at the top.

No problem.

I had muscle milk one time and I didn't like the flavor too much, for the amount of sugar and fat that muscle milk has, the flavor even though more tolerable than other protein shakes still has that manufactured after taste.

HAve you tried delicious strawberry by ON?

no strawberry for some reason is hard to find , and btw u know the ON tubs that look old school. is ther any difference

Finding the strawberry ones are worth the search, you should ask your local store that you purchase from if they can order them or if they ever order them and if they can put one or four on hold.

I don't think theres any real difference, I think its just a stylistic change.

Muscle Milk is an excellent shake to have as the last thing in your day, right before bed. don't forget that healthy fats play a vital role in testosterone production. it'll digest slowly to get you through your 8 hours sleep as well as use the fats in it to fuel the night time hormone surge.

but if you want to take it before training, then yeah there'll be better choices out there.
