hey guys i'm new here and i was just reading a few of the posts and i was wondering why everyone hates muscle tech so much... i mean i take nitro tech and it's a pretty good protein product, i would also like to know what i shoud take to start getting bigger, i'm about 6' 170 and i wanna pack on some more mass... should i just keep taking protein, creatine, my zma and multivitamin? or should i get other things... thanks in advance for the help

90% of your size will come from your diet. if your diet is is right then all you need is a good whey protein, creatine monohydrate and some bcaa powder. just take in atleast 2 grams of protein per pound of body weight as a minimum

that is to much. 1lb is sufficient...possibly 1.5 on a cut because you need to counteract the low carbs by using more protein to insure you dont lose a greater amount of muscle mass.

I would suggest taking meals more often. Try to eat 6-8 meals a day. Not just the standard 3 meals.
Every meal doesnt have to be a big one. I would find some other things to snack on besides just toast. Hopefully its grain toast your eating and not white toast. PB&J on whole grain makes a good snack.
Try to keep carbs to Low GI carbs mostly if possible. Simple carbs right after your workout to spike insulin while drinking a protien shake.
There is a lot of information on proper bulking diets in the nutrition forum to take advantage of.
At 170lbs you should probably shoot for around 3000-3500 calories a day, maybe even more depending on your metabolism.
Most people will suggest 1g protien /lb. However there are others that will go up to 2g. Personally I shoot for 1g. I know the boys doing the DC shoot for 2g, but thats another story.
Always multivitamin, omega oils, whey protein. You can add bcaas, creatine, NO are whatever supps. you want to experiment with.
Good luck and welcome to the dungeon

Oh and if you wanna pay for overpriced products then I have no problem with MuscleTech, LOL! There are other products that do just as good and better job that are cheaper.

I can get chicken necks for cheap, but that doesn't mean i'm gonna go out and buy a bag of chicken neck. Their products don't carry up to their claims, simple. They might have one product that is decent out of their whole line, even with a cheaper price what does it matter?

Your not even on a proper diet, you should worry less about supplements and more about eating right.

I wasnt one of them. You must have misunderstood my post somehow. Your diet is way off bro. Go back and read what I posted again. The PB&J snack I recommended wasnt assuring your diet was anywhere near in check. Its just a snack

This was an important part of my post:

Pheonix said you were doing ok.

Dee and Orbit both agree with my view, more so Dee even said to go for six meals instead of 3. Not everyone said you were eating ok.

no where did we say the diet was good...most of the posts were regarding your amount of protein intake, and there is more to a diet than protein intake.

read Deeturners post again he was actually giving you some quick advice on how to revamp your diet. He would like to see you up your meals by three to five meals a day. I know this sounds like a pain but you might have to pack a small cooler around with you And like he said the meals in between do not have to be huge. most people who train naturally which I am assuming you do can absorb (If I remember right) about 30 -40 gm. of protein every 2.5 to 3 hrs so generally you want to eat based on that but like they said you must also factor in your fat carbs and target caloric intake for your goals whether it be to cut or bulk. You also may want to add a casein protein before bed because it enters the body slowly and will feed your muscles while you sleep.Remember most of these guys are not attacking you they want to help you or they would not reply at all. So welcome and good luck. Oh yea keep posting!
