Whey protein is usually absorbed and gone through the system, aka muscles etc, in about a half hour and then its done.
Casein is slowering, ranging from 4-6 hours, possibly longer if taken before sleep.
Flax oil delays absorption as well, so you can take it in the morning with a shake or at night with a shake to let the protein slowly go out.
Egg contains lot of amino acids, as does
Egg protein powders, but most whey/casein are amino fortified anyways so it doesn't really matter. Egg whites are good in the morning usually cause of all the aminos they have in them, but you can eat regular food and take some BCAAs and its essentially the same thing.
Eggs also contain some estrogen... so too much is not a good idea. Most powerbars are made with all three now.
