Question about creatine

I have been taking some Creatine Monohydrate by Body Fortess recently and it says that the loading phase lasts 5 days of 43g scoops with 250ml of water 4 times a day.

I was wondering if this is correct because 43g of creatine seems an awful lot and I've been told that just 5g pre and 5g post workout is all you need and anything exceeding that amount is just pissed away?

The creatine I'm usnig has sugar and sweetners and is grape flavouredand on the back it says that one scoop also provides 5.25g of Monohydrtae?

Does this mean that of the 43g I am meant to take only 5.25g of it is the Creatine and the rest is just sugar and sweetner?

Any help to de-confuse me would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks,

From Alex :)

You DO NOT have to load, its pointless and there are no benefits for you to do it, the only benefit is for the manufacturers and stores because they are selling more product. Size on works great. I would advise you to stay away from Monohydrate creatines, personally I recommend a ester form of creatine (CEE=Creatine Ethyl Ester) as it is creatine with an ester molecule on it, which allows it to be transported differently through the body and allows for greater consumption by the muscles. With monohydrate you have to take so much of it and because its a monohydrate it uses water (i believe) to transport the creatine to the muscle, hence the bloat (due to excess water and creatine that floats around the muscle that is not being taken in by the muscles) that is normally associated with creatine monohydrate. However with the ester form of creatine it uses fat as a form of transportation to the muscles (and though you may think this is bad it is much better). Using this method of transportation you get the most uptake of creatine by the muscles and you do not get the bloat as with the monohydrate.

^^^i personally disagree bro...but we'll let alex decide what to take. not to butt heads tallhardgainer bro, you have great knowledge about the sport, but that water retention has a great benefit. IT FORCES NUTRIENTS INTO MUSCLE CELLS forcing them to grow quicker, fuller & stronger...
NO CEE
MONO all the way

as for alex, get off the cheap ****, body fortress is prolly worse than muscletech, lol...go buy mono from a good brand. reflex have one of the best i've used & i'm currently on it right now, just loading atm...

good luck alex bro

LBJ I appreciate your honesty, and I too don't want to butt heads, but I guess its because since I take a nitric oxide I am already getting nutrients forces into the muscles via that method of transportation. Also, I have done research on CEE and mono and found that because of the delivery system of CEE 5g of cee is as potent as 15-20g of mono, so I don't have to take as much cee to get as much with mono. Again I am not trying to butt heads here, just stating my research.
