I bet you looking at the total g per scoop. What creatine are you taking and Ill show you. 42G would be kidney suicide.

i got pure creatine mono and it says to take it like 30-6g spread throughout the day in equal doses.
musashi growling dog creatine it is... it cost me like $39 for a "not so big" container of it.. but hell im not using that much a day especially when i dont lift.
i may use 5-10g before and after gym. thats all but still.. why would they say 30-60 or whatever amount spread throughout the day every day??
