So we all know that ZMA should not be taken with calcium, however, my problem is that I take my Casein shake right before I go to bed. This is also the time when ZMA should be taken. My solution is to take my casein 2 hours before bed, ZMA right before bed, and then wake up and drink another casein shake 2 hours after the ZMA. Does this sound like a resonable solution? Would the calcium in my casein shakes drank 2 hours apart from my ZMA still affect its effectiveness?

What I do it drink milk or casein shake right before I goto bed and I take the ZMA 1hour before I goto bed when my stomach is empty. After an hour the ZMA is already in my system.

That system woprks for me. I still have crazy dreams and my test is up the next day!

Dude thats what your not supposed to do. Thats why people take casein before they go to sleep be cause it gives you a good 2-3 hours before breaking down.

Bigswin19 I would say to take the ZMA 45 min before bed and then casein right before. Might have some time laps but I think it will be OK. Also I dont think the Melatonin is strong enough to make you drowsy but should just star kicking in by that time. Good luck bro thats a tough one

casein right before bed, take ZMA 30-45mins before going to sleep. casein takes 5-7 hours to break down so i see no point in waking up again during the night to take another one

LBJ or anyone what do you make of this:

Health issues

Cancer
Casein has been implicated very strongly as a carcinogenic compound, possibly one of the most carcinogenic currently in the human diet, according to The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. Also mentioned is the incidence of higher cancer rates in countries that consume more dairy products, specifically cheese, which has more than 10 times the casein density of milk. [1] [2]

Opioid
Casein has been documented to break down in the stomach to produce the peptide casomorphin, an opioid that appears to act primarily as a histamine releaser [3]. Casomorphine is suspected by some sources to aggravate the symptoms of autism [4].

Casein-free diet
A study found that children with Autism placed on a casein-free diet for eight weeks showed significant behavior improvements (Lucarelli 1995). In many cases, casein free diets are combined with gluten-free diets and are referred to as a gluten-free, casein-free diet.

[edit] Blocking positive effects of tea
A study of Charité Hospital in Berlin showed that adding milk to tea will block the normal, healthful effects that tea has in protecting against cardiovascular disease.1 It does this because casein from the milk binds to the molecules in tea that cause the arteries to relax, especially a catechin molecule called EGCG. One of the researchers told New Scientist magazine that "[i]t probably also blocks tea's effect on other things, such as cancer
