Some BCAA supplements will say to take 3 of their pills 2-3 times a day. So supplement wise there is some leeway depending on your body size. a 160 pound man needs less in terms of supplementation than a 240 pound man.
If your talking about regular protein intake from food sources or protein supplements then you should look to get in just hat you need. Your body will store anything it doesn't use in calories as fat.
Generally speaking, too much of anything that you take in, your body will look to store or to change either by modifying it, holding onto something else for balance or excreting it. Thats it's way of mantaining homeostasis. So eat for your purposes, if your cutting or bulking, get in the right number of protein for yourself and don't go overkill.
With protein/amino acids its more of a how much until it stops being efficient, rather than how much is too much. |
