Iv been searching for days on what to take post workout. I am debating between buying cell mass, or saying screw it...save the money and just do something like mixing some creatine mono and a protien shake together. Any feedback would be a help, and what you take post workout that you find most effective.

Invest in some whey protein, as it is quickly digested and that is exactly what you want PWO. Buy some ON 100% Whey, best there is. your correct on the creatine, mix 5g creatine mono. as well, you should also consume simple carbs after your meal. this can come in the form of a gatorade/ 100% fruit juice/ or white rice etc.... it is the only time you should be eating white rice actually. consume 60-100 grams of carbs.

hope this helps

^ pretty much hit the nail on the head, but don't forget to take your creatine mono with a non-acidic juice to spike insulin and help your absorption.

get your whey in you within 45 minutes, and your carbs within another 20.

Fruit juice/fructose is not the best choice to refill glycogen stores.

For carbs: white bread, white rice, or dextrose.

Protein: whey and bcaa pills or powder.

^ do you really need bcaa pills, or will the white rice/aminos in the protein be enough?

i've always debated going on bcaa's, but i heard food/protein aminos are enough

You should take bcaas. You can only get so many pieces of the protein puzzle from your macro intake. The bcaas are there to fill in the gaps.

Thats my analogy for the night.

I drop two packs of Animal Nitro G (dextrose&aminos) followed by 1 scoop of whey. Then I take a post workout meal of ground turkey/beef and pasta. Works like a charm.

Being a plant product plants don't have the essential aminos in them. If you take a whey protein shake though that ****'s loooaded with all the aminos.

I like to have 4 slices of white bread and then a whey protein shake maybe mixed with some soy.
