I had surgery a week ago and cant lift till monday should i start taking creeatine now to get in my system or wait till the day i lift?

You should load creatine starting today. Creatine is only effective when your muscles are saturated with it. Load 15 grams per a day for a week straight. Then about five grams every day after.

For the week you load split the creatine into three different servings throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or 4-6 hours apart depending on how you eat. Do not take 15 grams of creatine all at once.

Everyday after that take 5 grams of creatine a day. You don't nessesarilly need to load creatine for that one week, but it will help to saturate the muscles with creatine quicker.

i agree with thomas start immediately but i always do 20 grams per day on loading phase then 10 grams a day for maintaining 5 before workout and 5 after, but its up to you how much you use i just know my body responds better to 10 grams a day then 5 grams. also are you taking monohydrate? cause ester creatine doesnt require loading and with ester they recomend 2.5 -5 grams a day
