I just graduated highschool last year, and started varsity since I was freshman. I wrestled 152, and then 171, and our team has won four consecutive state championships, and i was a part of 2. I can personally tell you that whey protein and eating right will help tremendously. I see guys cutting weight and when they do eat, they indulge in junk food cause they are craving stuff. If you eat right, you'll be fine, and try to sneak in a sugar free energy drink cause I know what its liked to be sucked out. If your looking for a supplement I highly recommend Betagen (I wrestled on this and can attest to the fact that its perfect). If your working out, make sure you get about 10-12 reps in and don't neglect your squats, bench press, and deads. Pushups, dips, and pull ups are your best friend. They help ed me so much early on in wrestling, and helped me to get a foundation for bodybuilding.
It's a mild creatine with HMB and other amino acids. They will help you from getting sore, give you a little extra energy, and will protect your muscles from fatigue so you can hold that cradle a bit longer lol. Just be wary that you will initially gain a few pounds, and water consumption is necessary because it is a creatine. If your cutting weight it may not be the best scenario, but for a powerwrestler like I was, it was better to wrestle up and be strong then wrestle sucked out and be weak. plus it's better in the long run.
And, I realize I could be braggin at this point lol, my town just had their first state champ, and had 5 other place winners in NJ states.
