I am glad to hear that people in NY are wrestling at reasonable weights.

Wrestling and basketball are awesome. I liked playing baseball but hate watching it. 9 innings... my attention span is not that long.

I just graduated highschool last year, and started varsity since I was freshman. I wrestled 152, and then 171, and our team has won four consecutive state championships, and i was a part of 2. I can personally tell you that whey protein and eating right will help tremendously. I see guys cutting weight and when they do eat, they indulge in junk food cause they are craving stuff. If you eat right, you'll be fine, and try to sneak in a sugar free energy drink cause I know what its liked to be sucked out. If your looking for a supplement I highly recommend Betagen (I wrestled on this and can attest to the fact that its perfect). If your working out, make sure you get about 10-12 reps in and don't neglect your squats, bench press, and deads. Pushups, dips, and pull ups are your best friend. They help ed me so much early on in wrestling, and helped me to get a foundation for bodybuilding.

It's a mild creatine with HMB and other amino acids. They will help you from getting sore, give you a little extra energy, and will protect your muscles from fatigue so you can hold that cradle a bit longer lol. Just be wary that you will initially gain a few pounds, and water consumption is necessary because it is a creatine. If your cutting weight it may not be the best scenario, but for a powerwrestler like I was, it was better to wrestle up and be strong then wrestle sucked out and be weak. plus it's better in the long run.

And, I realize I could be braggin at this point lol, my town just had their first state champ, and had 5 other place winners in NJ states.

Use whey protein regardless, but combining the two would be the best approach to becoming stronger and having ultimate muscle recovery/ endurance. But like I said, you have to drink water not only for it to work, but for it to be safe. But your in the offseason right now so you should be fine. Betagen is a creatine, and of course it has lots of other things but it's a mild creatine so your not going to get puffy and bloated. You'll be stronger and recover quickly, but maintaing a cut body type and lean physique that wrestlers need. It's perfect IMO for football and wrestlers. EAS is good stuff too. Good prices on bodybuilding.com as well. I like orange.

Lemon juice and spitting in a cup, according to my coach, are "bull****". To be honest, I've seen both of them done, but they were so frowned upon a lot, so guys on my team didn't bother with it. As for green tea, I'm honestly not sure. I know it's good for the liver and offers a little bit of boost, not to mention its not really gunna hurt you too much calorie wise. Best bet is to just diet effectively and gradually lose the weight.....if there's a "trick", odds are its got a risk or its just plain bull****. Mind over matter ya know.

BTW, teach me how to make an avatar like that lol.

Bbdude you are taking mrm weight gainer correct? That is totally different then just taking a scoop of whey.

If you haven't already bought protein Ognickyk then buy optimum whey protein chocolate, it is effective, good value, easy to mix, tastes good, and the most popular.

Green tea has alot of anti-oxidants. Anti-oxidants are used to get rid of free radicals that form through various things throughout the day. Free radicals cause abnormalities in your body, and when your building muscle you don't want any of that. So anti-oxidants like green tea are great to use.

I never really got into wrestling, i was always into football. I play on the defensive line whenever I play. It takes alot of upper body strength and sprinting ability along with definite leg strength.
