Being methylated, it is also extremely hepatotoxic. 1 testosterone could be called a steroid because it is a hormone, but it was classified as a prohormone due to technicalities. It fell under the loop hole, and it was legal for awhile, but has since been banned. The crap he bought is some chemically re-engineered product which may or may not be technically legal now, but is no doubt worthless and very probably dangerous health wise. |
"A prohormone is a chemical compound that is a precursor to a hormone, usually with minimal hormonal effect by itself. The term has been used in medical science since the middle of the 20th century. Examples of natural, human prohormones include proinsulin and pro-opiomelanocortin. The conversion process from prohormone to hormone is typically a single step, and a location for regulatory control."

You are right on one account, 1-Testosterone is technically not a prohormone, it is a 5-alpha reduced version of boldenone. It was only called 1-Testosterone because it is very chemically similar to Test, only that it has a 1,2 double bond as opposed to a 4,5 double bond. Methyl-1-Testosterone is a alfa alkylated at the 17th carbon, which as you said, allows it to survive first pass liver oxidization. So, as I said, it is not a prohormone irregardless of the legal nomenclature which labelled it as such. It is a potent anabolic steroid with very potent effects.
