Ok this is not a joke these are how many I have in a day.

I was wondering if having to many red bulls and rockstars in a day can lead to problems??

I usually have anywhere from 1 to 6 energy drinks a day.

I feel fine with the exception of being wired all day, but if i have that many its not gonna kill me is it?

Aside from becoming dependent on them, i.e. you feel like **** without them and need them to make it through the day, you can get arithmea, which is an irregular heartbeat and can lead to several health complications. Products like this should be used on a cyclical basis, i.e emphasize them when cutting up more, as oipposed to ingesting high amounts year round which will give you a high tolerance and lead to dependency

I became dependent on energy drinks about 3 months ago. I was drinking at least 1 or 2 a day and sometimes i wasnt even tired, but i got hooked on em during my last semester in college to get and stay awake during the day. They started to give me crazy headaches, and made my chest start to feel tight and gave me shortness of breath, but i kept drinking them because i would feel like **** without em. I eventually ended up in the hospital because my chest seezed up in the shower after my workout, which i drank a redbull before, and then when i was driving to the hospital,i blacked out for a few seconds and found myself left of center. The ER doctor told me i had developed a heart arithmea, and it was probally from taking the shock therapy,NO-Explode and energy drinks for my lifting on and off for the past 5-6 months. I can barely drink two cups of coffee without my chest getting tight,or feeling light headed, sucks. I would tell you to stay the heck away from those drinks,my doctor has told me numerous times they have as much caffiene in them as 12 cups of coffee, and he was talking about redbull, not the 16oz or even the 24oz cans. Good luck coming off em though, youll be really tired for about a month. Best, Ryan

I definitely agree that it's not a good idea to have numerous energy drinks in a day, but I think your doctor doesn't know the facts or he's trying to scare you. There is no way red bull has the amount of caffeine in 12 cups of coffee. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Red Bull is the brand name of an Austrian carbonated soft drink. Sold as an energy drink to combat mental and physical fatigue, it contains, per 250 ml serving, about 27 grams of sugar(glucose, sucrose), 1000 mg of taurine, 600 mg of glucuronolactone, B-complex vitamins and 80 mg of caffeine. The caffeine in one serving is a little less than that found in an average cup of coffee (100 mg/8 oz. cup) or twice as much as found in a can of Coke (40 mg/12 oz. can).

The caffiene in redbull and other energy drinks is not the same as in coffee, its more concentrated, because they obtain the caffiene by sucking it out of regular coffee,it makes in a sense a sludge of caffiene, which they put in the energy drinks. so its much more concentrated,if your statement is true, then how come ive been drinking coffee for years, and had no problems, but got hooked on energy drinks and it messed me up. you can take it or leave it,but thats what my doc told me,and it really just makes sense since ive always drank coffee.

Be careful those energy drinks also have tons of other crap in them that can magnify the effects of other supps. You also run the risk of suffering burnout and stim addiction(like coffee related problems)

I totally got addicted for a few months. It was terrible. I had 2-3 a day (sugar free versions). I just couldn't go to parties or hang out with people or anything until I had my energy drink. It probably was a mind thing, but the point was that I was addicted.

What got me to stop? It's weird, but...sodas are just so bad for your teeth man. I didn't want to mess up my teeth, so I stopped. So whenever I drink a soda now, I use a straw.

wow man do a google for adrenal fatigue you can really mess up yourself man, try to keep the caff under 500mg a day and you need off days where you dont touch the stuff i lead a 24/7 lifestyle and usually get by just fine with ok sleep, a good diet, and maybe 1 caffienated drink a day, but usually ice-tea which only has about 40-80mg caff

Me and some friends got hooked on Monster Energy drinks for a couple months. Before we would hang out we would chug a few as if they were beers. Then drink more throughout the rest of the day. This would result in me getting bad headaches, get only 2-3 hours sleep a day then crashing the next day with about 14 hours sleep, and before I stopped I was having hard pains in my chest. I quit because I gained some fat from drinking all the sugar and not using it all. I'd say just consume 1 drink in the morning to jump start you if it's REALLY needed.
