30g of protein every 3 hours is a good amount in my opinion. Some will say up to 50, hell I get more than 50 some meals, but 30 is a good number. Aim for that I say and go from there.

Pure myth. There is no such thing as a maxiumum amount of protein that can be absorbed at any one time.

There's a diffrence between absorption and utilisation.

it can be absorbed to some degree but will the body use all that? and does the body really need all that? remember the body will favor fat or carbs for energy first compared to protein. your protein intake should be optimum for muscle growth and recovery but at the same time, over dosing on protein ie. like you said 100g is toxic to the liver. too much of anything good is not good. always remember that.

100g isn't toxic on the liver, if anything it would be hard on the kidney's if one wasn't getting in enough water.

anyways, as others have said make sure you are getting a similiar amount with each meal.

Agreed with Jorn, the calories will be absorbed, but not all protein will be synthesized. The excess protein may be converted into glucose via gluconeogenesis and the nitrogen is transanimated and reduced to urea and is excreted.
