It may have been here somewhere. But I read to mix creatine with a sticky citrus drink that was high in glucose to aid delivery as well as benefit from the glucose.

OK so this question has a couple barrels to it.

ONE) Is there any valid use in this??

TWO) what does Glucose do for the body builder??

THREE) where the crap do you find a sticky citrus drink high in glucose?? Because all the ones I see are full of high fructose corn syrup (which I was told to steer clear of) and useless carbs.

Oh yea. My creatine drink says it's delivering 10grams of creatine. is this the right amount? Seems a bit much to me.

Glucose is your muscle fuel
THREE) where the crap do you find a sticky citrus drink high in glucose?? Because all the ones I see are full of high fructose corn syrup (which I was told to steer clear of) and useless carbs.First of LOL at "Where the crap" Secondly just use maltose post workout with 5-7G of creatine.

Yes 10 grams does seem like allot would go fro more like 5 or so, and try them like 3 pre workout, and 7 post workout, mix creatine with dextronse and fructose to replenish muscle and liver glycogen.
Just my opinions in red bro!

forget about glucose. creatine should be used with dextrose and is shown to improve delivery to the muscles.

isn't dextrose and glucose the same thing as soon as it's in the bloodstream?? That is: dextrose = glucose (for all intents and purposes?)

I think more research is needed to compare the effects of creatine alone vs creatine + glucose. there are several study's that doesnt report significant changes when taking creatine + glucose compared to creatine alone. So imo its optional to take creatine with glucose or other carbs.

From Hay****:
The creatine transporter is NOT directly effected by glucose, insulin, or caffeine. However, when insulin reaches very high levels, it has been shown to increase the amount of creatine that is taken up into cells. There is no evidence that it increases the total amount that the cell can hold.

I tried a different BB board and asked the same questions.. the answers I got made me wanna whip somebodies a$$.

Thankyou fellas thankyou very much.

And YES I can get my hands on Quench. Gonna have to do a bit of research and hunting for this maltose.

Oh yea thanks for the creatine gram advice as well.

Now I can go delete my registration from that other board.

Jorn,

Not Jorn but here we go,

Jep its is but not only an transporter.
Insulin is best known for its role in glucose metabolism. Insulin's job is to keep blood sugar levels from rising too high. Youre body does not let youre blood suger get to high or to low, therefor glucose gets transported to the muscles and fat cells, this is the part what makes it important for bodybuilders. Also insulin is very anabolic because it increases the body's ability to uptake amino acids. Also it has shown that insulin slows/stops protein breakdown.
