I was just wandering if anyone has used this supplement. I am not interested in using it but after all that hype that MuscleTech has put out about this product I would expect to see something around the boards about this product. I realize that MuscleTech hypes up all their products but this one seemed to be ok. Just wandering who has used it and what they saw from it. Just curious...

"In conclusion, it is clear that leucine increases protein synthesis by increasing the activity of mTOR & the phosphorylation of eIF4G.

Leucine has a far greater stimulatory effect on protein synthesis than any other amino acid and it has been shown that protein synthesis increases similarly in response to a relatively small dose of leucine compared to a whole food meal.

It has also been demonstrated that adding leucine to a protein rich meal further increases the rate of skeletal muscle protein synthesis."

Layne Norton, article on Bodybuilding.com

The one downfall in muscletechs LEUKIC is that it lacks L-isoleucine and L-valine, its counterpart Branch Chain Amino Acids, which could lead to a defiency in the 2 BCAA's.
Personally, I use Scivation Xtend which includes all 3 BCAA's and last 5 weeks if one took 6 scoops on workout days and 4 scoops on off days, a dosage of 15-20 grams of BCAA's is optimal,4-6 scoops.
(It also has 2.5 grams of glutamine and 1 gram of citrulline malate per 2 scoops) Hope this helps you out.

Yea that explains a bit. I didn't know that it was a form of BCAA. That is good info to save people some money. Anyone else ever tried it and had results?
