I was watching the news i think it was last week on fox5 or nbc news, they had a nutritionist who said that taking "any" kind of vitamin that is not FDA approved could turn into toxins in the body instead of doing it good.

Now it hit me with my Multi-Vitamin that i take from VitaminWorld because it was "cheap" as to say or in another words a good deal i got with the store manager that i know. Its called Mega Vita-Min, now i'm curious to see what other people take for a multi-vitamin? I understand its a basic subject, but i always like to update myself once in a while to see what other new stuff is out there

Thanks

Yes the FDA is a fountain of justified well researched approvals and bans.........

The FDA is lobbied to ban as many things as it actually finds to be bad. So which is which? Which supplements have been approved or dissapproved due to political lobbying and which are based on sound research. In some cases, which are banned/approved based on crap research?

Having said that the cheaper supplements aren't as good as the expensive ones. Although which is expensive due to expensive marketing, and which has the expensive R&D and ingredients, is a bit harder to tell.

Also Centrum is renowned for not being digested.

centrum is just out there for some odd reputation they have and that vitamin being FDA approved and on the shelves is just because of its low doses for the average joe. for a bodybuilder, centrum will not deliver even half of the daily requirements imo. here in Toronto and generally i can say Canada, its hard to get a descent multi-V that has a good price as every drug or drug related has to go through the FDA pretty much and many fail for reasons that arent even published. therefore i dont even take any multi-V's although i do want to but i cant get my hands on anything that is good. there are the multi-V's from animal pak and plain and simple they arent worth it. i mean for $50 you get 30 paks ie. 30 servings. its just not worth that much money and you can just have some green vegetables and get the same out of it. this is just my opinion.

Much better then isolated multi vitamins are greens supplements like Greens Plus which has a load of organic greens or Garden Of Life's Perfect Foods which has many vegetables and other good sources of natural vitamins.Taking either of these products is like having more then 4 servings of vegetables and fruits each day.
