So in my previous post, i asked what are good foods to eat for pre-workout. I got my oat meal- very very nasty.. I made it like it said on the box quaker old fashioned oat meal i bought- add oatmeal to milk, and add salt, but i also added some sugar because it tasted horrible, but it still tasted bad with sugar.

Can anyone post ways to make oat meal healthy and atleast not too bad tasting for a pre-workout meal?
Thanks guys

Oatmeal is delicious mixed with yoghurt and sugar.

Another nice way to have oats is mixed with milk, sugar, choc powder and raisens.

Oatmeal + Scoop of ON's 100% Whey (preferably Cookie's and Cream flavor) + Water =

I try not to add sugar to it at all but if you find any protein that's tasty enough and add a scoop or so you're set...some mix better than others as well.

use some splenda and cinnimon like someone said or splenda and strawberries or blueberries. I woulnt use sugar b/c that defeats the purpose of it being a healthy low glycemic carb, you might as well buy packaged flavored oatmeal if your gonna add sugar.

ok if u but oatmeal buy the one that says cooks in 1 minute or 2-3 minutes. all u do is put in a bowl as much as u need, add a little cinnamon, put water untill the oatmeal is coverd with water, not too much. and put in microwave for 2 minutes.
DONE!

My favorite way to eat oatmeal is this.....
1. Cook up some Quaker Oats old fashioned oatmeal
2. Add in a large tablespoon of natural peanut butter
3. Add a scoop of vanilla cytopro protein powder.
4. A teaspoon of honey ( optional )
5. Mix it all together and eat... then grow

Measure it dry. The way I eat my oats is after I cook them with water, I add some of Anabolic Innovation's Sucralose to it and some cinnamon...I love it.

I prefer good ol' fashion oatmeal piping hot with brown sugar on top. If you still think that is nasty then I don't know what to tell you. I find it to be my most fulfilling meal of the day.

I don't know I have never tried adding anything to my oatmeal. I like it raw. Besides this way I know I'm not eating to much sugar or anything else, besides I don't want to get used to having to eat it with flavor because what about that one morning I run out of "seasoning"? Then what do I do? ;-)

For a great Meal Replacement Shake, I put a half a cup of oats in a coffee grinder and grind the oats till they are in powder form. Add your favorite protein powder and you have an awesome shake. Using 2 scoops of ON's Whey protein and a half cup of your gound up oats you have 40 grams protein and 27 grams of a great carb source.

You can pick up a grinder at Walmart for under 10 bucks. Its worth it's weight in gold. I dont know if I would use a grinder that has already been used to grind coffee.

I use about a teaspoon of honey on it...may not be the best thing but it taste good...I think the reason your oatmeal taste like ass is you made it with milk...make it with water
