Hi Polish. Yes ive tried different Redbak products .. Redbak Complete and Redbak WPI (they also have a creatine which i havent tried yet). Id say give it a go, i found it to be beneficial as far as gains are concerned. Its a little expensive so you cant have 3 shakes a day unless you are willing to blow alot of money, but use it as an after workout shake.

I've heard Redbak supplements suck balls (thats a direct quote). Also the local store won't stock their stuff due to complaints about the taste, and mixability.

I did a bit of reading into what Aussie products are best, and its a really short list. Maxx's stuff is supposed to be good, so is Goliath (never seen them myself), and the one I'm about to get is the Vital Strength products. Currently the local store has a pack of Nighttime and Hydroxy Ripped protein tubs (both blends of WPI and other stuff) tub of creatine, and a protein bar. Pretty good value.

The australian forum www.sizematters.com.au has some reviews of the different brands in Oz.

Ive tried both Max's and Redbak, Redbak is best. As for mixability and taste Redbak tastes great. Not that you should worry about taste too much, it just doesnt matter lol. Max's got pulled off the shelf in countless stores now because of competition from Redbak. In certain stores i go to there may be 10 redbak products on shelf and only 1 or 2 of Max's as Max's have been getting fazed out.

I like Musashi myself, but everyone has there favorites.

Bro since your in W.A. try here www.bodyperformancegear.com they import the best **** at good prices, they have specials as well. I'm in NSW and I've used em a couple of times to get certain products. They stock a large variety of products from supplements to DVD's and clothing.

email: fee@bodyperformancegear.com the ladies name is Fiona. Tell her what you can get for what price, see if she will meet it or better it.

Good luck.

I've been using their 92 blend, which is quite good, except its a bitch to mix. Just bought some Vital Strength stuff and I'll see how good their stuff is (heard nothing but positives).

I know most people who like Max's also so it isn't worth the price. While I agree that you should be worried about whether the protein is any good (get what you actually paid for) and how well it mixes, before worrying about taste, if it tastes good you know the company have actually put some effort into the product, and aren't just charging a markup for packaging.

I try to stick with brands that have stood the test of time, like Musashi, Max's and Horleys but if the pockets not as deep as it could be, I go for the cheapest with the most protein.

Check Carb levels also if you are like me, and put on weight just from smelling a cake.

Try em all bro, cause it's a life time thing Bodybuilding so you will be buying em for years, Until you are huge and have a sponsor that is ....Good Luck.

PS ask fiona if she has any Lee Labrada protein (V60??) Tastes different but is chock full of protein, I gained well on it.

Also take into account a protein shake after workout is a must .... but most your protein through the day would be better spent on whole foods. Theres just no substitute.

Apparently Max's funded a lab study on various protein products including Redback to test the purity of the protein. They found Redback to be one of the worst offenders - 22% under what was advertised (Diamond bottomed out with 25% under).Redback were apparently using a lot of wheat protein instead of whey. Max's tested to be the exact purity advertised, with some brands such as Balance being 5% MORE pure than advertised.

Bottom line is unless you are on a tight budget, I would steer away from Redback until they rectify their product and get their rep back

I use Optimum and I love it. It would take me a lot to change to a new protein powder.

I just purchased some Redback 6 blend crap because my local health store was outta BSN Syntha6. Syntha is awesome

Redback is basically undrinkable as it tastes like total ****, it also doesnt mix easily. Just my opinion
