Any suggestions for a night time protein?

i've been takin whey before bed but i want to try a casein based one (or any other suggestions welcome).

Casein based protien is the best night time protien because it takes longer to be absorbed by the body so it is good to eat before bed. Some suggestions would be Cottage Cheese or a simple casein protien shake before bed if you can't handle the Cottage Cheese.

casein is the way to go. it takes alot more milk or water to mix it up.

evopro by cytosport is pretty good, same thing as muscle milk w/o the carbs or fats, tried ON's 100% casein and i prefer the taste of evopro

just use milk, about 500ml and you will be fine.

I reccomend Solid food like cottage cheese , chickens , steaks .. but if u can't offer that so stick with casin :)

muscle milk was the best tasting casein i ever tried. i bought the banana creme flavor.

a 250 grams cottage cheese will be your best bet, with some peanut butter to slow down the proccess even more. you get your 30 grams of protein, and essential fats...

as the others stated, if u cant handle the cottage just drink a shake (not whey) some slow absorb one, but i recommend a solid food.

Actually, you'd want a 80% casein and 20% whey shake. Studies show a rapid increase of blood amino acid levels within 1 hour (from whey), then a plateau from 1-3 hours, followed by a progressive decline over the next 8 hours (casein). An alternative you could buy would be Milk Protein. If anything, a whey shake with cottage cheese or skimmed milk would do the trick. As you can see I didn't say casein, reason being milk and cottage cheese are for the slow absorption rates.

Protein powder at night? hmmm
a guy at my work said taking protein powder at night before u go to sleep makes u fart ya brains out....... meh i already do fart my brains out every night lol.
but the guy at my work is a d*ckhead and doesnt no sh*t, so i didnt believe him.
i'd eat some cottage cheese with the shake

Before bed i take ON Casein. Its Vanilla flavored, which is not bad at all. The thing is be prepared for one thick ass shake...
