Hi guys i wanted to ask has anyone here brought protein from the myprotein.co.uk website and if you have then was it any good. Im thinking of buying the unflavoured Whey Protein Isolate from the website but im not too sure how their protein compares with branded ones..

I`ve bought several times from MyProtein and think they`re great !!!

Example ? CNP Pro Recover consists of Whey Iso, Hydrolysed Whey, Glusose, Vit C and Flavouring ! Cost £24 for 900g.

I bought from MYP, a kilo bag of 50/50 Whey Iso and Hydro Whey with flavouring. Cost = £16.
Bought 2 x 500g of Dextrose C, from the supermarkey for £2 in total. This is glucose plus Vit C added.
Mixed everything together so ended up with 2kg for £18.

There is no differance in the products. With CNP you are paying for labelling, marketing and wages to Dorian Yates !

You can't fault them on price, quality or range of products.
But you can on the stupid "My" name or their intolerance to mention/comparison of other companies products on their forum ........ EVEN in PM's !!!!!!!!!!!!
Pain & Tech wouldn't read and EDIT PM's right ?

How would you guys grade their quality of protein when compared to Gold Standard %100 whey by optimum nutrition. Im considering buying this one or the one from My protein ,i just wana decide which one to choose based on their effectivness.

Ive never had a problem with any of the products they sell. The only thing is if you wanta flavour you will have to pay for that but not a great deal extra. the mp max range is good for the people that need flavour

You say effectiveness. How do you evaluate effectiveness ?????

Buy some MyProtein and see what you think. Same goes for Optimum and after using both then decide for yourself if you think there was much differance.
You may " prefer" one from the other ? Look at costs and how long did it last etc.

Effectiveness is another matter and is dependant on more than just the powder ?

The effect of protein is more subtle and can take a long time to evaluate.
Various flavourings to choose from or learn to get used to unflavoured and buy one or more of the "flavouring systems" for variety.
The most common bad point about other companies protein is causing indigestion, bloat or farting. Several forums have tales of I switched from company A's protein to company B and the indigestion is gone.
I personally find other companies protein is way too sweet now.
Mixability is important too.
An excellent starter would be the MP range but do buy say 1Kg of one of the other excellent ( and cheap ! ) proteins too.
Let us know what you think.

Their protein(s) are sourced direct from the dairies.
The only way improvement on that would be to give the name & pictures of the cows !
