i keep seeing all these cutting diets that are, in a nutshell, low carb. they are always labled something different each time to disguise plagiarism, but the names are usually some corny **** like "cut from diamonds".

sure they work for fatloss, but only short term. as soon as you get back on those carbs, you lose all that vascularity. unless you want to be a low carb dieter for the rest of your life, that is.

can anyone point me in the direction of a LONG TERM fat loss diet? one that lets you keep all or some of your leaness even after you are done with the diet? i'm still bulking right now, but i go back to cutting in 4 weeks and i'm trying to plan out everything early.

Simple, don't drop all the carbs. As long as you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. Personally, I prefer to cycle carbs having at least one high carb day per week, but I have never gone a day without one high carbohydrate meal.

I recommend you drop all fruit for your diet because it's stored in your liver leaving you with empty calories.

one high carb meal per day huh? wouldn't it make more sense to have a moderatly high carb breakfast and a moderatly high carb post workout meal? that seems better than a high carb lunch or something to me.

ok so how does 70g carbs on the off day sound and 100g carbs on training day? i was thinking 35g of carbs in the morning, and 45g post workout, and 20g spread throughout the day. does that sound good? do you suggest i change that? i've been doing alot of looking around t-nation, and the only fatloss diets i'm seeing are reduced carbs, so i guess i'll just do the crappy short term fat loss, and then just experiment to see how i can slowly come off of it when i'm done and retain leanness. i don't plan on going back to bulking for a good long while. not untill i'm atleast 17. i'll be strength training and cutting till then.

how many grams of fat should i eat while cutting? i will be eating about 280g protien, 100g or 70g carbs, but i don't know how much i should take in for fat.
