I need to take in a lot more protein than I already do, so I was wondering if anyone here can tell me a snack that doesn't require: cooking, cutlery, or extensive preparation, yet does contain a nice portion of protein. I am looking for things like protein bars, etc. but I have no experience, it would be helpful if they were available in the UK so I can buy some.

Thanks,

Fat free cottage cheese, if your blessed with genes that allow you enjoy it instead of throwing up when they taste it.

Canned fish.

I think I'll try the canned fish; I can't eat cheese though, well, if I eat any large amount I get pretty sick and then I can't go to the gym, so canned fish seems like a good idea.

Canned tuna, can't go wrong. Or if you can stomach it, raw eggs.

This is what I do. Mix 200g low fat cottage cheese with 100ml skimmed milk, 30g strawberries, splenda and cinnemon in a blender with some icecubes. Takes like better protein shake.

Would sardines work as they seem a bit more appealing to me than tuna?

raw egg has an extremely low protein bio-availability...you need them cooked or pasturized (like carton egg whites) to make real use of them.
