Night Pwo nutrition question

I can only get to the gym later at night about 7:30 because of school and work. I usually leave the gym at about 8:30. I mix some creatine with a scoop of gatorade after im finished. When i got home id just mix up 1 1/2 scoops of protein with a 1/2 cup of oats. I was wondering since i have it about 8:45 if i should just skip the oats? Any help would be apreciated

Absolutely not! First off, I would recommend purchasing dextrose itself instead of using gatorade. After your pwo shake your insulin spike causes hypoglycemia and leads to an increase in cortisol if a low GI carbohydrate meal is not consumed. Your blood sugar levels are very low after the insulin spike and need to be stabalized.

Yeah i am Bulking im 17 so i dont really count what calories and shit i just keep my diet clean and make sure i eat ever 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Thanks for replying Flex, so how much dextrose should i consume and then what should my pwo shake consist of? Help is greatly appreciated.

Good advice by flex, id go 4 tablespoons, i think that is 60 grams of carbs
