Ok first off, I just want to say that I know I will probally get burned for telling yall what I did but oh well shit happens and I learned from my mistake. I had surgery about a month or so ago on my hernia and the pain went away about two weeks afterwards. So against the doctors advice, I started training again and I went pretty light. But I went back for my final exam on friday and learned that the patch he put over the area my hernia was at had moved because of my premature lifting . So my question is, I have to go back and get surgery on May 5th and should I lower my carbs and keep everything else the same so I don't gain as much body fat? (I will have to have no physcial activity for two weeks) or should I just leave everything the same even with me laying up in bed for two or so weeks? Thanks for any advice guys.

ask your doctor man, i would think u would want to eat healthy and make sure u get the vitamins a nutrients u need to heal man. Listen to your doctor before u listen to me though man. your health is most improtant bro, just be patient and when its time to come back youll be ready. Good luck with the surgery bro. Ill pray for ya, not thats its really serious, but its still surgery.

lower your overall caloric intake but maintain a 40/40/20 would be my suggestion.

lots of veggies and bright green stuff...

Yea I plan on keeping the same diet just lowering the carbs as to I will not need that much engergy and I plan to eat every two to three hours but I will be on either demerol or hydrocodone so I'll proll be passed out most of the time I think. And I was also thinking about asking him about doing cardio by swimming laps in the pool. That does not seem to be too stressful on the body. I will also keep on takin my multis and fish oil and protien shake. Thanks for the prayers BigBen, that is most appreciated, God works miracles.

don't just drop carbs, drop everything in proportion, and make sure your carbs are complex. You'll still need the energy to recover from surgery. A low carb diet is hard on the body, no need to add to the body's stress right now.

I didn't gain any weight when I was injured. I just limited the amount I ate due to my inactivity.
