No. Mine even has 10,5. But it's quite easy to get 500 grams in.

Water is heavy. VERY heavy. Considering that most meat is only around 16% after cooking (and therefore removing more water), 12% is pretty good. Get fat free or even dry curd cottage cheese and you're looking at roughly 17g protein/<1 g/<4g carbs. (don't have the info right in front of me, but it's about that). That compares to most whey complex powders! And it's casein rather than whey, so it's slow-digesting.

the thing that makes cottage cheese terrible is the taste, not its nutritional value...it's a staple though, i eat a tonne of the stuff.

We have cottage cheese in our stores here to, tried it once for one bite, it was the worst thing ever

When I'm talking about cottage cheese I really mean some fat free and less than one carb yoghurt look a like thing with 10,5 protein in it. Tasted good also!

I always add fruit to cottage cheese. example peaches, strawberries, blueberries....

I was told to try adding pepper to it and it made it a little better!

Yeah it's no fat < 1 carbs so not fruity flavour or whatever.

It's actaully a yoghurt look a like product, so in my country it's located with the in the rack with yoghurt and milk product and in the cheese rack where the cottage cheese stands. Good luck finding it, makes alot of diffrence. I get 50 gram protein in every night before going to bed this way, and that while I have trouble with eating big meals, this stuff I just let flow in my mounth and it's gone.

here we go, "nutrition facts" right off the package, 125 g serving has 0.5g fat, 2g carbs, and 22g protein.

Throw some dry curd cot. ch. in omelettes, a little of the fat free wet stuff in the blender with your whey shakes, add to ground beef with salsa in a breakfast burritto, or on its own with a ton of hot sauce to kill the bland plastic flavour.
