LOL. I lost interest in the article after I saw his new physique.

Oh. My. God. Dave ate around 10,500 calories today with around 450g of fat (38%), around 1450g of carbs (54%), and around 190g of protein (7%). And this was a "good" day.

He said it on the internet, so it must be true. [/sarcasm] Look at the difference between a pro BB and a PLs build and then look at the macros. If you choose not to believe that you need X amount of grams of protein, I dont even know what to say.

Dave G is a powerlifter, so I guess the PL crew can stop using the excuse of eating too many carbs and carrying around extra fat (like it makes them any stronger ). Its diet that determines your physique not training style.

Dave Gs pic, powerlifter.

Furthermore, Im not a PL, so I wouldnt know and dont care what their protein consumption is. He may very well eat 190g of protein. I would NOT want to look like that. Is there a particular reason why people keep telling me PLs dont eat 1.5-2.0g of protein, so it must not be true?

Why do some of you resist believing the pics? Trying to prove me wrong? Just accept it, I did.

What a ****ing loser, I have no respect for someone who eats that dirty, 6 snicker bars? Mc Donalds? I mean come on now, the guy is a loser. I don't know how much weight he can lift, I don't really care, it means nothing at all if his blood pressure is through the roof, it's absolutely meaningless.

I'd love to see what this guy's blood reveals under a few tests, eating all that crap, he looks like crap too, but then again he's a "worldclass powerlifter" so I'd imagine looks are the last thing on his mind, although you think this guy would care about his own health and eating good foods would definitely increase his potential to go even further.

But I mean, what a slob of waste.

Lmfao.

I told you it was about Dave Tate, so you should know it was about a fat ass before you read it. Anyway, fact it, the guy is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT and none of us want that kind of physique, but still got more muscle mass then most bodybuilders, while hardly getting any protein.

And the guy isn't a jackass, he is a top athlete.

About the 'He said it on the internet, so it must be true' thing. I staring to wonder if you even know who the hell Dave Tate is? He and L Simmons helps infi people by his training programs (one, if not THE best around), but he would lie about his food intake, doesn't make any sense does it?

I think you are missing the point his diet is centered around being a powerlifter, not a BBer. They usually have 2 different physiques. Give up the diet thing. High protein for BBers, if you want a good build that is. LOL. You said, it blows the whole high protein thing out of the water. I used to think it was a bunch of crap too. I fought it as hard as you are. I see you are trying to take every opportunity to discredit high protein diets. You will come around one day. :-) Another BODYBUILDER who eats high protein. http://anabolicminds.com/forum/472164-post12.html Notice the low BF. Hmmmmm.

Ghosting, I don't try to discredit high protein 'diets'. One thing I know is that you need to eat BIG. I don't really care if that's fat, protein or carbs. I'm eatin so clean it's redicilous. I haven't eaten junk food for a year or so and sugar almost non exsisent except PWO ofcourse (not that hard actully, since I only eat about 4000 calories a day. My parents don't let me eat more, they're like to much protein
-->cancer, too much food in general -->diates, it's really sad. But all that's is over very soon now, since I'm almost moving out :))

The thing is, you can show me 1000 people who are big and eat alot of protein, if I can show you one who''s big and eat very little, it means protein isn't critical. Dave Tate has LOTS of musclemass, witout eating insane amounts of protein.

Your body makes an amount of protein a day. 70 grams for a normal person. My guess is it can produce alot more when stimulated to it (working out) and has enough other nutriets to convert. Just a random thought though.

Still eating protein is da ****, definatly won't do you harm.

Ive never said eat big. 4000 cals is too much, but I used to by concerned with my overall weight too. Dave Tate may have a lot of muscle, but PLs lift different than BBers. Hence they have different protein requirements. Do you even get this? Or are you going to say its unnecessary again and refer me to Dave Tate, a PL, who doesnt needs the protein that a BBer does. Im unsubscribing so you can have this convo with yourself. BBers and PLs have different protein requirement to build muscle. If you still dont understand that concept, I dont even know what to say. Good luck with eating clean cals whatever they are. I can hardly believe you are talking to me about diet after seeing your pic. Proper diet is 80% of the game, I used to think it was lifting. How wrong I was.

Dude, I have no idea why you get personal?
First of all, did you even read my post? I'm not big because I live with my parents and can't do what I want with nutrition and training, they are very very very against bodybuilding and try all they can to keep me away from it. You know nothing about me, yet you try to judge me and once again give me an attitude.

4000 cals isn't too much for me, actually, I've hardly gained muscle at all for the last 6 months, only some strenght gains. And that doesn't have to do my training for sure. What do you mean by concerned by my overall weight? You have seen my pic, in clothes for that matter, but anyway, you should be able to seen from it that I'm sadly a schoolexample of ecto and I'm 6'2 so getting big isn't easy for me, but I'm not gonna whine I'm a hardgainer and stuff, real soon now I'm gonna move out of my parents house and I have spent alot of time reading about nutrition and excersice and once I can actually use that knowledge I expect newby like gains.

What do you mean you never said don't eat big? As far as I know you need a calorie surpluss to build muscle?

PW is diffrent from BB? Cool, tell me then why you don't need protein to build muscle if your a PL? That doesn't make any sence to me, so EXPLAIN IT, instead of saying drop the whole macro thing? They have alot of muscle and they train freaking hard, but since they call themselfs PL there body say let's build muscles from carbs! Tell me why a bodybuilder who has less muscle mass then Dave Tate needs to consume more protein to build muscle then him. Once again, I'm not want it to be that way or want to be right, I just want to understand it so EXPLAIN it since you 100% know you're right.

Only advantage I have is a freaky small wasit line, but no I'm a little mofo now. You know the reasons and trying to win an argument by saying I've seen your pic is stupid. Besides you are the one who's burned out with training and eating whine whine whine. Can't believe I actually said take a look to this thread to help you. You come here, get personal and haven't explained a single thing, just made some statements.

That is certainly something I wish to keep track of. The differences by the end should be interesting.

Whats the point of taking in all that protein each meal, i dont get it? It wont be absorbed. It gets stored as fat in the form of amino acids correct?

Considering that is Berradi that is advising him of the diet I'd have to think that he knows exactly what he is doing. Also I think that you only absorb x amount of protein is just something someone once said (Lou Ferringo), not an actual fact.

As for the Dave Tate knockers; He ate the way he did to facilitate getting bigger and stronger. You can't eat clean foods and take in 10,000 calories (to be 300lbs at 5'8") daily and fit in family, work, travel etc. Read the articles properly and you will realise that he has done things this way to lift "world class", not to stand onstage in a thong.

I think the start of the story showing his bad diet and how big he was should open the eyes of a lot of bodybuilders...

I see the same people at the gym all the time who over train badly and are very lean and have good muscle shape, but lack any sort of size/mass on their frame

When I talk to some of them they all say they want to get bigger, but they work out almost 7 days a week, do way 2 many exercies and sets and dont EAT enough

Anyone just taking up the sport should take things out of that article to heart, ie you have to eat big, to get big PERIOD. Obviously do not eat like Dave did, thats bad..but you have to eat a lot to be big, thats just how it is.
