Best way to get 250grams of protein in me a/day

Meal 1 (breakfast): Protein Shake - 32grams
Meal 2: 2 protein bars - 38 grams
Meal 3: Protein Shake - 36 grams (or 1 cup of cottage cheese)
Meal 4 (lunch): 4 oz Chicken Breast - 24 grams
Meal 5: 2 cans of tuna - 32 grams
Meal 6 (before gym) : 4 oz Chicken Breast - 24 grams
Meal 7 (after gym) : 2 cans of tuna - 32 grams

This isn't 250grams, its 218 grams. By the time at 218 grams, its around the end of the day and im getting ready for bed. If i took in any more protein, it would be overlapping the 2 hours between meals and would accumulate into piss as it would push me over 40 grams per shot.

What im asking for here is, help me fill in the blanks. Rearrange it cause i think it needs to be evened out a bit better.

Another question I have is, if you do take in more than 40 grams in one shot. Do you piss out the whole 40 grams? Or would the excess be discharged? Yes i have no idea what im talking about.

You're breakfast shouldn't just consist of a protein shake, neither should meal two consist of protein bars. From that alone, you know I'm gonna' complain about meal 3. Add more solid foods, to your diet. Rely on protein shakes PWO.

should i bother stocking up on soy/tofu/veggie dogs then???

cause thats all i'll tolerate. i cant stand egg whites alone for the life of me. even as dressed up omlettes for that matter.

Hi Bob Villain you don't say where you are but I'm pretty sure can's of tuna are the same size everywhere.
185g (130g drained) = 32.5-35g per tin
400g (300g drained) = 81g per tin
The big tin's being more economic.

So your actually getting about 250g allready.

2 cans ~ 64g+


100g ~ 3.5Oz
185g ~ 6.5Oz
400g ~ 14Oz

Only excess is pissed out, but I think 2 cans in one go seems a bit much.
Having said that the body can adjust given time, really need input from someone around your weight.
Where are the PRO's ???

Actually i noticed a difference between "flaked" and "chunked" tuna.

Chunked is around 15 grams per can and flaked is round 23 grams.

And I have a few cans from both cause i didnt think there was a difference.

you will never piss put protein, it will get stroed as amino acids. Pissing out protein is a disease called FSGS, flex wheeler had it.

should i cut out fruits and vegetables completely if im looking to lose fat???

About a year ago (maybe a little less) I went to the doc for a physical, and he said they found traces of protein in my piss. I had to go back for a blood test, and they said I was fine then. Am I pretty much screwed as far as protein consumption if I have this problem?

correction...proteins are not stored as amino acids. when in excess its converted to urea (NH4)...it goes through the Urea cycle --> uric acid and which is pissed out.

with regard to miniduck's post above....
piss dose have protein found in it but there is no problem if there is. there is a certain range that can be tolerated and i dont know the exact range but when its passes that level then u have problems and if the doctors didnt alarm u of it, ur fine. the range that is allowed is pretty high anyway

what imraan said (salaam) and what rocky said. They (the unknown gurus) say 1 - 1.5 grams per pounds, but if its this spread out.... go by results, don't get too freaked out by "1.5 grams per pounds" if you're still gaining.
