I take amino acid supplements and whey protein shakes. I just want to know if my routine of intake is alright.

5:40pm - amino acid supplement
6:00pm-7:10pm - work out
7:10pm - amino acid supplement
7:20pm - post work out protein shake
7:40pm-8:20- dinner
10:00pm-meal replacement shake

I take my amino acid supplement before I begin my work out, that's around 20 minutes before gym time. Then I work out for about an hour and 20 minutes. When i finish my work out i take another amino acid supplement. Then i take my post work out protein shake. Then have my dinner. And at around 10:00PM i take a meal replacement shake.

Is my supplement routine alright or should i change it? And also, can an amino acid supplement be taken on an empty stomach?

i don't really know anything about amino acid supplements but any chance are you referring to BCAA's?? if not then I think you probably should take your post workout shake straight after your workout before anything else

when your done working out its fine to have a shake and BCAA's but also throw in some simple carbs. after this meal you should have dinner roughly one hour later. i also think it would be better to drop the meal replacement before bed. Aside from the post-workout meal you want to stick to solid foods as much as possible.

Oh sorry, the amino acid supplements were actually 2000mg whey protein tablets. Are they alright to use as pre and post-workout supplements?

And also, i take it with my whey protein shake which serves as my post workout protein shake. Is it alright?

like i said before, you should take just your post-workout shake after your workout before taking anything else, wait around 20-30 mins and then have a high protein meal which you can add your amino acid supps to

Can someone explain to me the big deal with BCAA taclets? I mean a protein shake has tons of BCAA's in it, enough to equal like probably atleast 20 tabs. I have bought the tabs before and considered them a waste!
