Worst Injection.. Need opinions

Okay, so I've injected 100+ times..

I pinned my shoulder last Thursday with a 1inch pin. I put 2 1/2 CC's of test enethate.. I pinned just a little bit off from the centre of my delt (towards the back), no more than an inch off the mark.

It feels like I've pinned into a tendon or a connective tissue because i havent been able to move my arm until today (three days). Its definately swollen up, it feels as if it was my first injection ever, x2.

Its getting better with heat compresses, but I'm just wondering what I could've done.

was test from stealth by anychance i couldnt move my arm for 10days

the delt is a 1-1/2 cc muscle. just my opinion but it seems that 2-1/2 cc's is a bit too much for that area. do you have any red streaks running down your arm?

The standard is 0.5ml in deltoid. Most say never over 1ml. It's a small muscle. I would suggest never using it. I would suggest seeing a doctor. It's possible you could have hit the brachial nerve.

Its a little red, yes over the delt and down the tricep a bit. It is improving.

Its weird because I usually always put 2cc's into my delt, and I've done 3cc's before (stupid, yes) but it has never been like this.

No pain on injection, if I hit the nerve should there have been?

Next time try vastus lateralis. Problem solved. Yeah there should have been pain but you could have moved the needle as well.

Def go to the doc and get it checked out. The brachial plexus (sp?) sorrounds that whole area including nerves and blood vessels. Go vastus lat or glute next time.

seems like if you had hit a nerve you would have know it immediately upon doing so. sounds like too much liquid for the site to hold. btw the only site you should be hitting with 3cc's is the glute.

do you.. or can you pull back on the plunger to see if you hit a small vessel? the butt is the best for a higher volume. it doesnt make that much of a difference for delivery time its still all going to be in you. i do vitimain b shots in the arm but i always have my gf pin me in the butt.... that doesnt sound right!! lol... she took medical asst. classes so she trys to be hell perfect, it almost makes me nervous.
