I would be extremely cautious with the redness, that is the first sign of an infection. When you mix things you risk the chance for bacteria to contact your needle. I have personal experience with this exact thing. I stuck myself in my tricep while on cycle a few years ago and had the same soreness which never went away and the redness. After 2 days my arm
swole up nasty big and was giggly from fluid. Come to find out after going to the Dr. the red was a bad infection which was cellulitis. I got it supposedly from not using alcohol swabs on my arm or rubber of the bottle. The Dr. said i was pushing bacteria into the bottle then allowing it to grow inside then shooting it into my arm. Anyway that was my story and all that you should do is worry about the redness and make sure it doesn't get any bigger. And as for the soreness, that is nothing to worry about at all.

Squat - 405lbs. x 2 (pussy legs!!!)

Deadlift - 425lbs.
