Consequences of using fake gear

Not necessarily from bathtub product. The guy may just be a dirty bum who neglected to utilize proper sterile technique while injecting. I mean look at him, an open wound of that size and he is just laying there on the couch on a bath towel! Not the sharpest tool in the shed. I have even heard of legit gear causing an abscess when the same injection site is used over and over.
