Be careful. What a waste of police resources to go after a guy for this with so many other worse things going on out there.

Man charged with possessing and distributing steroids

A month-long investigation has led to the arrest of a Schenectady man for possessing and distributing steroids.

Eric Rosa, 39, was arrested at his Jackson Avenue home Monday afternoon.

Police said $4,683 in cash, a computer and anabolic steroids in the form of liquid, pills and cream were seized during a search of his home.

Rosa is charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree reckless endangerment.

Rosa was arraigned and sent to the Schenectady County Jail.

The joint-investigation was conducted by the Schenectady Police Department's Vice Squad and the state Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement.

listen i dont take or promote using AAS....but this is over the top, there are bigger crimes than possesing and selling steroids.....this whole country is going crazy over steroids...baseball being the biggest example, if u want to TRY and eliminate them from the game that fine, but you dont have to make it a witch hunt and make the athletes life a living hell

yea i live like 30 mins from there i was told at the gym he was makeing the shit in his basement.... dirty i think but what eats ur owen...this is the 3rd bust in the albany area... sucks big time

Wuts the big deal on juice? If they are concerned of steroids killing young atheletes, then why the hell sell alcohol? Cigarrettes? Plus, most of the steroid using community cares on how their body looks, feels, etc......compared to junkies and alcoholics, which in most cases are like twigs or fat jelly roll bastards.

The problem is that these things are dictated from over the police heads. Don't blame them as the only reason. You guys act like they get to come up with these things on their own. And, just to be clear. Police are usually able to multi task. They don't pull a homicide cop in for a steroid bust.

I know what you mean Jay, I didn't mean to say cops were persecuting steroid users. The issue is with the politicians who put these laws in effect and the cops have to do their job and enforce them. It's like me as a PE teacher giving a lesson on dancing just because the state standards require me to do so even though I think it's a waste of time since not enough activity time is issued during this unit.

I think it's a waste of resources as well but there's little a cop can do when it comes to public forced actions through misinformation. What really fooks things up is when those steroid dealers are also holding heavy narcotics as well.

i dont really know what to say when it comes to these cases. steroids are against the law and anyone who takes them knows that no matter how little you know about gear. i hold a libertarian view on this stuff...you choose to do what you choose to do and you suffer the consequences. if its against the law, no matter how small or large of a crime it is, it IS against the law. you cant really bitch about how there are better things for them to spend their time on...like what? solving crimes?..this IS a crime. do everything at your own risk. personally, i think the best way is to play dumb. you dont sell, you dont ask, you dont know anything. the catch situation is if everyone thought that way, who would be the sources? for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Exactly. I've seen reports stating that up to 20% of cops around the country take AAS themselves, the thought process being that they need to be stronger than the freak hopping on Meth. All in all its some politician behind it, whether its the DA looking for re-election, or even a police chief. It will eventially all blow over and once again police forces will leave steriods on the bottom of the priority list.
