Ric Flair Goes Through Divorce + More Bad News
Ric Flair is not on easy street at the moment. In addition to the aforementioned "road rage" case, he is currently going through a tough divorce with his wife (they have been married 22 years).
As if that wasn't bad enough, it now seems that the IRS are on Flair's tail, as he reportedly owes them in excess of $1 Million. I'm telling you, I truly feel sorry for Flair these days.

"Ric Flair's nightmarish week continued today with a story in the Charlotte Observer that is a must read. In addition to talking about the charges of assault from a road rage claim that were filed against him earlier this week and mentioning the divorce he is currently going through with his wife Beth, the story also reported that the Flair owes the IRS $1 million in back taxes dating back to 1997. The government started garnishing his wages this year, seizing over $200,000 so far. I had heard for a while now that Flair has serious bills to pay off and that was, at least in part, why he is still so active in wrestling. The story also talks about how hostile Flair's divorce, the proceedings of which started in May, has gotten, saying, "The divorce case file at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse has grown as thick as two phone books, stuffed with financial records, credit card bills and property tax records." Flair has been ordered to pay Beth $20,000 a month in support until the case is settled, "based on their previous living expenses". Ric Flair's life is not pretty right now." |
