UFC 103 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In a little over two weeks, looks like a great card with a few important things that will happen in the UFC.

1. Return of Vitor Belfort against Franklin 195, the second catch weight fight at 195 (new weight class in the works perhaps?).
2. Cro Cop Vs Dos Santos, determines who will rise up in the heavyweight ranks and will determine Cro Cops ability in the octagon which has been shady since his UFC debut.
3. Swick vs Kampmann, to determine who will fight GSP.
4. Return of Frank Trigg since his last bout in 2005 in the UFC
5. The debut of Vladimir Matyushenko, Igor Pokrajac and Paul Daley in the UFC.
6. The possible release of Rafael dos Anjos who is on a two fight lose streak inside the UFC, if he loses this third fight its very plausible he will follow the fate of fighters who get released for multiple losses.
7. Several TUF fighters will be fighting.
8. Jason Brilz seeks to continue his 11 fight undefeated MMA streak against Eliot Marshal.

I remember Cro Cop's first fight. He was so freaking scary looking. I don't know what happened since.

It's the octagon factor. A lot of Pride fighters tend to do bad in an octagon. It probably has to do with two things, the first being the more limited space and the actual cage grappling.

102 was one of the best if not the best card ever and nobody was expecting anything great from it. I know I wasn't.

I was really looking forward to 102, it had a lot of fighters that I like. I'm looking forward to seeing a classic Filopovic performance, it would be a real treat to see a vicious body shot KO against dos santos.

I tried that free PPV online for this one. As soon as UFC 103 started, it started skipping and freezing. Never does it any other time. I ended up seeing about 10 seconds of every minute, and hearing about 30 seconds for every minute for the first bout. I said screw it.

I'll be going to the bar next time.

I won $50 on the cro cop fight he needs to just quit or go fight back in Japan. After the first big hit he took he looked like he didn't even want to fight anymore.

I wish Cro Cop fighting the way he used. He'll always be favorite fighter in my mind. Just watching highlight after highlight with that round house. You won't see many people through a Round House like he does in a MMA or UFC fight like he would. I think he should get serious or just retire.

Man I was really disapointed in this card. Only one fight went my way and that was Tyson Griffen, all the others lost.... Owell.... I dont even know what to say about Crocop anymore.

Yea I knew that about chuck about a month ago. I'm pretty disapointed in him. If he was still winning fights and was still the champ it would be cool but he just proving to the critiques that he is washing up.... As much as I hate to say that it's true. He just needs to retire and open up his own school, or I think it would be great if started training with Randy and re-invent him self like Couture did.

I love Chuck and Randy...Randy a lot more. But man...these guys need to retire on a high note, not a string of losses. If Randy would have stayed retired after he won the belt from Tim Silvia, I would have been fine with that. I have so much respect for the older fighters, but they are getting beat one after the other, and they keep coming back for more. At a certian point, it just gets hard to watch. Pretty much all of my favorite fighters from back in the day need to call it quits.

And Colman...I don't actually like Coleman, but how can he seriously think he still has it in him after his last two fights?

There are alot of guys that are over the hill. I think coleman is my least favorite of them all. Crocop has just racked up too many injuries, lidell i his last series of fights hasnt been able to keep up that speed he has always had. Randy pulls away from his contemporaries in the sheer fact that he's a ground and pound fighter, he likes to get guys down and wear them out. Hughes has had over 50 fights and at this point in his career is weathered.

Well its always about the money. Weather for them or for the UFC. The ufc, they want people to order and to be involved, people love to watch fighters they all know and love. For the fighters, they do it for one for cash but cause its been there life, it must be hard to say im never going to fight again. I thought CroCop didnt look that bad, he is still a tough m*^fer.

I don't know about cro cop. It seemed like there was something else on his mind other than the fight. I think there is more to it than money, but thats my opinion.
