Coming from a rugby league background, i'd have to vote for league but i do like watching rugby union. i think they are both great games to watch especially when Australia is winning and kickin everyones arses

i love both. Union is alot more popular over here so it goes without saying that it will be most people's favourites. i like watching them both equally but i reckon i prefer playing Union. i love how fast moving League is though

Union any day. Scrums are just no fun without flankers :p. Rucking is a big part, of what I find makes rugby rugby. My biggest injurys, fights and bleeding noses have always come out of a ruck somehow. League is for airy fairy backs who spend hours practising their dodgy switchy passing **** wheras being a forward I prefer to slam, ruck and power the human pile. Thats playing it. Watching Union I find is always much more satisfying. Taclking somebody jsut to watch them put the ball between their legs seems to deplete the point of tackling IMO.

I'm not fanatical about either but I'll take league over union both to play and to watch.

I never watched League until recently, I saw the World Cup Final on a plane to LA this weekend.

I like League, it's a lot closer to American Football than Union, but the guys are smaller as there's a little less brute force involved, less scrums, possession turns around more often because of the 4 tackle rule.

However, union is still my preferred game . . . Go Eagles!

more exciting? I don't think so...you know when possesion is going to end and there's no contest for the ball at breakdowns. If you want to watch people run fast watch track. if you want to watch a dynamic, flowing sport which can spend several phases building to a beautiful crescendo, watch union. I also think that the dynamic element of the breakdown and the kicking game add a level of creativity that isn't seen in league. League is too predictable (other than the odd moment)

Seriously, when we were trying not to get injured and just horsing around we'd play league.

Both have their perks but Leage is faster and harder hitting. Union is tough and strain to the fitness but kicking is beginning to take over.

League to me is more just about smashing people and flying in doing crazy ass hits trying to hurt people not really sport to me
