i think all the hype killed the Tito vs Shamrock fight for sure it gave some people false hope the Ken had a chance in the fight i think it was stopped a lil too early but 10 more secs would not have done anyone any better. The HW fight suxed i still can not for the life of me figure out why Andrei didn't keep kicking or go for a take down damn that fight really pissed me off

Well, he'll have plenty of time to think about his strange approach; he's on the back burner title-wise for a long time, I'm sure.

Vera's current weight put's him in the heavyweight division. He's definitely on a roll, and definitely worthy of a title shot in the near future.

It's a shame that Tim Silvia probably won't ever fight Fedor. Tim's a pretty good fighter but the main thing he has going for him is size. Fedor on the other hand is a truly great fighter. There's absolutely no comparison whatsoever. If Tim isn't smoking crack now he would be after taking a major ass stomping from the likes of Fedor. Apparently Silvia's never seen any of Fedor's fights. Anybody that can make Antonio Rodrigue Nogueira look bad is in a class all by themselves. Does anybody remember Gary "Big Daddy" Goodridge? He too is a huge guy and Fedor dispatched him quite easily by TKO, so I don't think size is an issue for Fedor.I only hope that Silvia gets the chance to back up his trash talk about Fedor.........Fedor just might beat him into retirement. We should write in to Pride FC and the UFC and see if we could urge them to make it happen. After all Vanderlei Silva is going to fight Chuck Liddell, so maybe anything's possible.

^^ agreed..
Fedor would beat Tim like he did to K1 champ Semmy Shilt.. who is a better stand up fighter then Tim and is about the same height.
Does any1 know if Jerome Lebanner still wants to fight Tim?

PS. Chuck will beat Wandy

AA sustained a serious knee injury from a leg kick in that fight. I haven't heard what it is, but he is on the DL for a long time. I think it was rumored that he even went into the fight with an injury and is being penalized with a suspension for doing so.

Agreed! Tim is good, and you don't defend a title repeatedly on sheer luck, but Fedor is in a class of his own. I'd like to see Nog fight Sylvia. Good luck knocking Nog out. Plus, his conditioning is always great, and Fedor says Nog's a great boxer (though Fedor is nice in discussing everyone's abilities...a true class act).

Wandy is definitely too reckless sometimes, but so is Rampage, and we saw how that ended. Chuck is a great fighter, but what do you think would happen to him if he fought Crocop?

That weight was way too much for Wandy, and he did not appear to be himself from the moment he stepped into the ring. He was slower and less agile. Compare the staredown to every other match he has had.

That was Mirko's night and nobody was going to take it from him, but Wandy could have done much better if his eye wasn't shut. Mirko is a real heavyweight, and Wandy was overweight. Plus, what was the key to Mirko's success? Hard kicks to the midsection that brought Wandy's hands down--a perfect setup for the infamous high kick. I don't see Chuck bringing any of that to the fight. If anything has changed, it depends on how Wandy bounces back from this loss.

I actually do agree with alot of what ur saying... i only state some things becos it makes for interesting discussion sometimes..

I dont agree that the extra weight inhibited Wandy though... .. its more like his natural weight... he didnt have to worry bout cutting and came in at what he felt comfortable as. He was heavier than Mirko..
Mirko is not really a 'real' heavyweight' as he's natuarally 210-215lbs.. thats alot lighter then what the avarage light heavy weight walks around at.

My main point is ..I dont believe in 'MMA Math' eg because Wandy beat Rampage and Rampage beat Chuck = Wandy will beat Chuck. MMA and sports in general don't always work like that.
I believe that styles make fights.. A good acurate striker (with heavy hands) will always have a good chance against Wandy as he lets his hands go freely alot of the time.
This is just my opinion and im not saying that Wandy cant knock out chuck if things went right for him..

Also im not saying chuck is as good as Mirko.. I dont believe that..

discuss
