I train mostly in Utah; about once every three/four months I'll travel out to SoCal(I grew up there/Valencia) to train there for a week or two. With work though, I find myself getting out to the west coast less and less; law enforcement is demanding for sure. I'd love to train with Jeremy Horn(in SLC; one of my top ten, easy), but I think I'd be too dumbstruck and humbled to even ask for an invitation.
I'm a complete nobody though

No Sherdog, no Full Contact Fighter, nothing(a bit to my dismay). None of my fights have been at anything that could be considered a higher end venue. All have been local affairs; if I really pursued it, I'm not sure where I could end up. I just know there are A LOT of athletes out there that could destroy me in an eyeblink, but all in the same, I'd be honored to participate under some larger lights for sure.
I've been a student of the arts since I was seven, but MMA competition has been a fairly recent development for me. I switched over from 'mainstream' martial art tournaments, mainly for the fact that they weren't about the arts themselves anymore; it all became flashy staffs and crazy screamers. Nearly everyone has adopted an Olympic-Taekwondo approach to their sparring as well, and I found that I was unwilling to roll with these unfortunate changes. I'd been competing near-monthly since I started as a kid, so I still really wanted a competitive martial venue in my life. I've been very happy with my involvement with MMA, but unfortunately, it's more of an indulgence than an actual pursuit.
