Dana White recently appeared as the first guest on the relaunch of Combat Fighter Zone (CFZ) Radio now live and on MMANews.com.

The UFC president spent 30-plus minutes with hosts Luis Cruz and Seth Petruzelli (of The Ultimate Fighter 2) and discussed a number of topics. One of the interest topics on the show was Dana White's response to the negative comments about the UFC made by HBO boxing commentator Jim Lamply.

Dana told CFZ Radio he hadn't specifically heard what Lamply said, but just heard it was bad. After host Luis Cruz read some quotes to the UFC president, he offered his response.

"Moron. He's an absolute moron and a jackass. I mean think about it the guy is a, you know, 50-something year old talking head who's paid to commentate boxing. I mean that's what he does. Other than that he just fills in here and there when people are on vacation. I'd be worried about us too."

Dana White further stated, "Anybody who's involved in this sport knows what this sport is about. They see, you know, obviously we're starting to get the respect finally that we deserve and anybody who says stupid stuff like that is a complete jackass and is completely uneducated and just trying to bash the sport, you know? That's the sound of fear to me."

lol the only thing that gets me is most people think that 2 dumbass fighters get into a cage and try to kill each other and with Dana as prez running off at the mouth i can see why they think that. I wish Dana would learn to control that diarea of the mouth a little more often

ya hes not really acting like the president of anything right now, he needs to be a little more professional

He definitely needs to learn the meaning of 'professional distance'. Now that he owns the company itself, he really needs to put a better public face on at times. I know he may want to stick to his roots in attitude, as it were, but a CEO needs to act like a CEO; he sounds like Kamali way too often to me.

Ironicly, later on the interview, he talks about how people tell him he should be more professional but he says he doesn't want to be fake.
