the WCL is an interesting concept..there are teams made up of different MMA fighters representing different cities like the NFL,NBA....etc.....see how long it lasts

It's shit. It's just another Tae Kwon Do style competition like the one's Chuck did when he was young and in some of his movies. It's boring, slow and it shows why Traditional Martial Arts are crap when it comes to real fighting.
But since it's being pushed by Chuck and his so damn popular on the net lately, I can see a bunch of stoners tunning in all the time. Just laughing they're asses off.

It's a nice effort by Chuck, but anyone who watches MMA will laugh it off.

I for one hope it does well. It looks like a different flavor, but having additional martial opportunities for serious athletes can't help but be a good thing. Look forward to seeing more of it; thanks for the heads up on it, thedon.

Oh, and 'THUNDERKICK' as the featured fighter? Did he really pick that handle?
Almost as bad as Ahmad "Abzilla" Haidar; pretty lame, Muscletech.

Just watched the debut event video, and quite frankly, I liked it. Not as well rounded as MMA(namely no grappling; not sure if it's even legal), but the athletes themselves looked fairly good. It looks like a prime league for strikers; competed in similar competitions myself(straight fighting; no forms, etc.; no leagues) for nearly seven years before I entered MMA. I hope they have success in getting it off the ground.
