As far as the little stand-off went, I could see Dana asking Ken to say something just to drive the nail into the last episode of TUF3, and really set the stage for UFC61. I could also see Ken wanting to do so on his own, which is a little sad to me. Ken needs to kick this whole 'I'm going to
smash Tito's face in' crap. He and Tito are more alike than either wants to admit, which I feel grates on both of them a lot. If Ken repeats what he did last time with Ortiz, I can't see the result being any different this time around. Namely:
-Ken's not a striker primarily. He CAN'T try standing with Ortiz for the majority of the bout this time around. I know his ACL was torn, but the rage was still there.
-He needs to remember his strengths, and abandon this 'destroy Tito's head' approach. If he remembers who he really is, and employs his near complete-evil ground game, Tito won't stand a chance.
-Remember the old Shamrock, who viewed his fights like a chess match? Calm, cool, calculated? The Shamrock that handily took out Royce Gracie their second time around?(That NC call was a complete farce; it was Royce's swan song in the UFC, and they didn't want to give him a loss, plain and simple.) He went in cocky and angry the first time around, and Royce put him away with seeming ease. He actually LEARNED from that, and picked Gracie to pieces their second time around. He needs to do just that with Tito.
My opinion, for what it's worth. Let the feedback roll.
