I just finished watching the gsp vrs bj penn fight and wanted to comment on sherdog but you cannot register that with hotmail so yeh...im gonna vent here

Why the **** do American fans boo foreign fighters? Especially Canadian ones (GSP)

The man got a ****ing thumb in the eye, pours his heart out fighting and wins and get booed??? what the **** is wrong with some of you people? I know not everyone was booing but you could hear it pretty damn easily.

I myself have went to 3 fighting events where I live, and although the american fighters werent cheered as loudly as the canadian ones, we most certainly did not ****ing boo them.

I see why Fedor and other fighters do not like fighting in the states because of the terrible fans......

So in closing....Props to gsp for keeping his cool and not being rude about the boos. To a good portion of american fans (not all, I know some have respect) grow the **** up, get some respect for ****s sake...just because hes from North of where you live, does not give some of you bitches the right to disrespect and boo him.

ahhh I feel better now, I also like how I can swear like a sailor on BBD

canadian fans are worse, they boo the american national anthem, not all of them, but a lot do, espically in quesbec but their losers anyways. it is disrespectful to boo a person who, as you said, fought his heart out to win by decision, he deserved the win and the way the crowd booed was unnecessary. but what really gets me pissed off is the booing of a national anthem.

And Quebec is weird yeh, they tried to separate themselves from Canada a while ago, so I don't really have love for them, hate on Quebec all ya want

To an extent, but from everything ive seen Americans are still the most disrespectful fans in the world

I havent seen 2 many european events though, so I'm not sure how bad it is there, somethin tells me the US still has the title though

The whole idea of making that UFC USA vs Canada was stupid.. Dana White apparently voted against making that the theme but got outvoted by the board. It was rediculous seeing GSP getting booed.. It really gutted him as u could see in his post fight interview
