Ricky Hatton just beat Luis Collazo in a unanimous decison to win the WBA welterweight championship. Ricky knocked luis to the mat 10 seconds into the first round whiched scored him a 10-8 round which pretty much won him the fight because the rest of the 11 rounds were a see-saw 10-9 score. all the judges had the fight too hatton by 1 point. it was a good fight, there was alot of action, two very good fighters. Ricky Hatton isn't a big name in america, he is a god in manchester, but with this fight he should get some big fights in the states in the not to distant future. With the win Ricky Hatton has a 41-0-0 30ko record, very impressive

Damn don that fight JUST ended, good recap though. I thought Collazo was an ungraceful loser, he had not one good thing to say about Hatton after the fight. Collazo did a lot of complaining, blaming everyone else for his loss including the judges and the ref. The ref did a great job and probably should have penalized Collazo for the problems with his tape. Also despite what Collazo said he didnt deserve a 10-8 round in the 12th. Bottom line is it was Collazos title to lose, he didnt prove that he deserved to keep it.

Thanx for the recap.. RH is a legend.. I've read some of his interviews and sounds very down to earth.. Hope he gets some big name fights now to show his skills to world..
