Liddell confirms bout against Babalu

Chuck Liddell and his UFC entourage today attended the 2006 Seni Show at the Birmingham NEC, England.

The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion was the main attraction at the annual combat sports show, holding a two hour autograph session in the afternoon.

Chuck revealed to me that he received clearance from his doctors to return to training last week and confirmed his return bout will come in August against light heavyweight contender Renato “Babalu” Sobral.

Chuck was accompanied by UFC President Dana White, Lorenzo Fertita and Rachelle Leah at Seni.

Wouldn't mind Babalu winning but i would bet on Chuck

About damn time. As for Chuck vs. Babalu, I think Babalu has the potential to win this. After all, '06 is "The Year of Upsets" in MMA.

what i don't get with the fighter stats in this video is that Chuck's taller than Babalu in terms of Feet and inches, but shorter than Babalu in terms of cetremeters

Yeah, the UFC often messes things up. Sometimes it will say Chuck is 6 feet 1 in. and then later they'll say he's 6 feet 2 inches so I no longer bother with the fighters heights. Check out the tale of the tape on the shows and then on their website. It changes.

Fight was lame

It's hard to strike against someone who has a reach advantage over you but he should have taken him down, its just that everyone is so afraid of his hands nobody hardly tries anymore

lol I really dislike chuck, he always throws weak jabs with his left and practically makes fucking circles with his right hand before he throws it....and they never seem to realize this

The kick in the face did surprise me though, that was cool
