Brock Lesnar to fight Bob Sapp

Lesnar the former WWE star appears to be headed to K-1 to make his MMA debut for the Heros show in a couple of months. I talked to Lesnar briefly this weekend before he left Vegas and he said he is trying to work out a deal for an MMA match against Bob Sapp. The Japanese press confirmed the same thing. Things are very early in the process but Lesnar, with his wrestling background could be interesting in MMA.

oh man it will so great to have him back. he rocked in the WWE and i like Brock...he is really good at what he does.

He could be a force in the sport; I guess we'll just have to see how his dedication is this time around.

Won't be much in the way of "fighting", probably just alot of pushing. But should still be exciting to watch these monsters in the ring.

well Brock does have a great amateur wrestling backround so if he takes Sapp down it could go his way

Same as Bob Sapp, will try MMA, get kicked in the head after being taken down and will ask K-1 if he can do Kickboxing instead. With as much as the Japanese people enjoy watching monsters fight each other, I'm guessing he and Sapp will be facing each other many times. But hey, what the heck, let's see what he's got.

he is a fucken beast. a man of that size and with the power brock has, a punch from him would definetly send you into next week.

This is great news! He may surprise a few people as he has a great amatuer wrestling backround. Bob sapp will be a tough opponent though..his punches are huge bombs.. I think Brock will look for takedowns land try ground and Pound ala Coleman, Kerr and Randleman...all good wrestlers..

This is great for MMA..

If(and likely when) they do mix it up, Sapp will likely want it to be in K-1. No ground work would definitely figure well in the Beast's favor. If he were to match up against Lesnar in Pride, it would be a surprise to me.
