TNA LOCKDOWN RUNDOWN

We're looking for your thoughts on the show, so please leave a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs in the middle along with a best and worst match to dave@wrestlingobserver.com

Universal in Orlando, Florida

Hirooki Goto & Black Tiger & Minoru b Alex Shelley & Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal when Tiger pinned Lethal after a Tiger suplex

Sen She (Low Ki with a new name due to a contract issue) b Christopher Daniels with a bridging backdrop pin with his feet supported by the ropes for leverage

Bob Armstrong b Konnan in an arm wrestling match, so Bob & B.G. James & Kip James strapped Konnan, Hotstuff Hernandez and Homicide many times after the match

Elimination match with Shark Boy, Puma, Petey Williams, Chris Sabin, Elix Skipper and Chase Stevens. All eliminations by pinfall. Final two use escape the cage rules
Williams b Shark Boy with Canadian Destroyer
Stevens did a shooting star press off the top of the cage for the first of many crazy moves of the night. He wasn't caught and landed on his face
Skipper b Stevens with the emerald frosien
Williams b Skipper with a sunset flip
Sabin b Puma with the cradle shock
Sabin and Williams were both climbing over the top. Sabin shoved Williams to where he landed on Scott D'Amore's shoulders, who was standing, so Sabin touched ground first to win

Samoa Joe b Sabu with the Muscle buster and pin to keep the X title

Team 3-D (Brother Ray, Brother Devon, Brother Runt) b Team Canada (Eric Young & Bobby Roode & A-1) in a capture the flag match. It took twice, because they got the flag the first time during a ref bump. USA won and Team 3-D led the singing of the national anthem

Christy Hemme debuted and gave Mike Tenay a letter. They announced Larry Zbyszko was on probation and being investigated. They still don't really say what he did wrong. They also overturned the ban on Raven. Raven showed up and chased Zbyszko around. Raven was the heaviest I've seen of him

Christian Cage b Abyss using the unprettier on thumb tacks to retain the NWA title. Abyss had already kicked out of a sunset flip power bomb on the thumb tacks as well as Cage coming off the top of the cage Snuka style and Abyss kicked out of that. Crazy move, and 20 seconds later, Abyss was fine and gave Christian the shock treatment

Lethal Lockdown, which was War Games style, with the coin flip. Sting & Rhino & A.J. Styles & Ron Killings b Chris Harris & James Storm & Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner. Wouldn't you know it, heels won the coin flip and had the man advantage. Of course, Sting came in last to clean house. The ceiling dropped after Sting got in and it was mostly weapons stuff at that point. Big move was Styles and James Storm on top of the cage. Styles climbed to the top of the ladder, jumped off and hang from his stand near the ceiling and came off it putting Storm through the table. If that top of the cage gave way like it did for Foley and Undertaker, they'd both be dead right now. Lots of crazy risks throughout the show. Finish saw Sting reverse Chris Harris' scorpion deathlock into one of his own for the submission. Little trivia is that in the WCW days, Harris sometimes played a fake Sting

Thank you for the excellent post, Fallen. TNA seems to be upping their overall value with events like these for sure. Now they just need less Scott 'boobs' Steiner.
