This is easiest with a Cuisinart or Stick mixer, but I've made it with just a whisk and it works out.
1 part Olive Oil
2 Parts Balsamic Vinegar
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Sea Salt
Fresh ground Black Pepper
(If you start with 50g oil, use 100g vinegar. 1T oil, use 2T vinegar etc.)
If you choose, substitute Fresh garlic and onions for powders - Make sure they are minced finely unless you're using Cuisinart
Place oil & vinegar in bowl (wide shallow for whisk, tall narrow for stick mix, or cuisinart) Add good shakes of Garlic & Onion powder, nice size pinch of pepper & just a touch of salt. Pulse to combine.
Alternatives:
1) Reduce Olive oil & Add Parmesan cheese for Italian meals
2) Add Strawberries or Raspberries and some almonds for asian meals
3) Cut Olive oil in half and add half of an avocado, if you have one that's about to go.
4) For spinach salads, I like to add in pecans or walnuts
