Ok I have been lifting heavy I love it. . I was wondering on something someone told me at the gym. I wanted to loose some body fat but not my strength. Mainly fat around my stomach area. I do cardio and diet. Can this be done?

Yes it can.
You'll lose some strength, but not much. The key is your diet.
Log your food ( I prefer FitDay ) for a week and see what your normal calorie intake is, then you can adjust from there. Most importantly, keep training hard. You'll lose some strength, it's inevitable- but if you continue to push yourself, you won't lose that much.
I'm in the middle of a cut right now and I've actually managed to get a little stronger on some of the compound exercises, even set a new PR last week... so yes, it's possible.

You don't even need to lose strength man. I'm preparing for a powerlifting comp and I wanted to get my abs back so I started doing HIIT and I cut 250 then 500 calories off my diet. I'm gaining as well as before in strength and I'm see fast results on the abs. Make sure to keep fat down and don't eat too much protein.

Just starting out it wouldnt be unusual for someone to lose fat and gain strength at the same time, but dont expect this all the time. Its generally expected that some strength will be lost while cutting.

Just what I mean is that a lot of people think it's good to eat double their bodyweight in protein and just wanna tell him that's not a good idea. I should have said, eat 1 gram per pound of body weight or a little more when bulking as one other way to help keep some bf off.

Oh yeah, no crack pipes involved haha.

usually you need to keep your protein level fairly high when you you are trying to loose bf and Im sorry but a 15-16 year old plan is not a good example of how to do anything unless you are 15-16 also a teenager hormones are going crazy.

not necessarily true, macro breakdown while either cutting or bulking should be pretty standard no matter what your age. it is more dependent on your weight. There is a recommended macro breakdown for both cutting and bulking not teenage, middle age, old age etc.
