It may take a several months of low intensity aerobic cardio to build a base, but once you have, you NEED to start sprinting.
Aerobic cardio results in decreases in GH, Test, and Increases in Cortisol.
Sprinting causes just the opposite.
Aerobic cardio causes decreases in muscle fiber size, and even intraconversion of
fast twitch type IIX to the less powerful IIA and IIC.
This doesn't occur with sprinting.
And, in studies done comparing HIIT (sprinting) to steady state cardio, subjects lost 9x as much body from the HIIT training.
