Im not quite sure how you've got that, im pretty sure that he means he does three sets of most exercise. 1 with 10 reps, 1 with 8 reps and 1 with 6 reps not one with three 10lb plates.

I personally switch up between 4 sets of 4-6 reps and 3 sets of 8-12 reps

You havnt answered my question either, what exercises are you going to do?

wtf is up with all of these big bicep questions. Second what position are you playing that you need incredible biceps? If you need to get better for football triceps are much more important.

Also....

The football coaches in my school give their kids more of a powerlifting routine. Very rarely do they train Biceps. Biceps look pretty but aren't the most used muscles in a contact sport like Football. You should be concentrated with your core, back, shoulders, chest and legs. Triceps maybe, but most of the workouts are all composed of compound movements for mass and strength.

^^^ agreed, most ppl think biceps is larger muscle than triceps, and they are wrong. You need to train all your body parts! eat lean proteins * chicken, tuna, steaks.) and Brown rice, Whole wheat bread, WW pastas, oat meal. also lift heavy and try not to injure yourself! Get plenty of sleep, 8-10 hours a day. Drink lots of water,( no alcohol) you should be good to go!

I wanted just big biceps too, and chest, not really interested in any other muscle, because what do girls really pay attention to

I used Derek Salvatore's implosive training routine, it works best just for people that want to build up solely large biceps. First two weeks you train biceps twice (or three times) a week with 20-40 percent of your 1 rep max for biceps, and you do everything to failure for 14-20 sets (Depending on expertise). You do lighter work on your arms in general because if you over develop the triceps or the delts then the biceps will look alot smaller.

Next 3 weeks you go 80-90 percent to failure for at least 10-15 sets twice a week. Then the last 2 weeks you go 95 percent 1rm 10 sets and finish up with 3-6 sets of at least 120 percent negatives.

Really works for biceps.

You need to do a full body workout, not just arms. I would say go for a 3 or 4 day split. Try to do more olympic lifts and powerlifting lifts rather than bodybuilding lifts. Olympic and powerlifting will benefit your football more rather than just having mass.
